  • What was the point of designing an online service for condominiums ?

A service of this type proved to be the best solution to centralize information and documents, and make sure that everyone would understand the condominium and collaborate. It was also the only practical way for co-owners to have access to the life of the condo, 24h a day, easily, from anywhere, and without complicated software to install. The initial project then evolved to allow furthermore real-time communications. Over the years, the service has been expanded to include specific events (ex: reports and press releases), a photo library, a system for rating professionals, a module for preparing general meetings, a network of real estate condominiums ... Etc. Henceforth the website is accessible to all condominiums.

  • About the project
  • The RedLeafCondo project was initiated by a group of co-owners and members of a Board of Directors (Union Council). After having sought means and software to enable them to deal with the main problems in their condominiums, they had to face the obvious: there was no system dedicated to co-owners, complete enough to carry out this task. The group was reduced to using classical pieces of software, unrelated to each other, and responding only to very simple tasks.

They therefore decided to design a more complete, coherent system with tools adapted to their needs. This design phase resulted in a website dedicated to real estate condominiums. The objective of the site was to provide tools adapted to the day-to-day management of their condominium by the co-owners and residents, but without excluding the managers (who carry out important administrative work). It was necessary that the site could be used by all stakeholders of the condo (co-owners, tenants, caretakers, managing staff), using a simple web browser.

As the site evolved, several people came to reinforce: co-owners wanting to help develop and promote the service, tenants interested in tools, chairmen of several Boards of Directors, partners interested in the concept, and even public organizations who found a relay of action. Today the website is accessed by Internet users in several countries.
